Antalya is already a popular destination in Turkey. This place is so beautiful thanks to its location: it is a big town surrounded by beaches, luxury hotels and historical sites. The majority of Turks like to spend the summer in Antalya because the place has everything to satisfy visitors.
Antalya is located on the cliff of the southern part of Anatolia’s peninsula and its name means “big star of the Mediterranean Sea”. Kas, Kemer, Manavgat and Alanya belong to the province of Antalya. Antalya, the capital of the homonymous province, has almost 800,000 inhabitants and this number increase to reach 2 million during the summer period.

Kaleici, the rustic old town where we can find old Turkish and Greek houses, is the most popular part of Antalya. The old houses, separated by cobbled streets were turned into hotels and tourist shops.
The Konyaalti coast is well known for its beaches and crystal clear waters. You will also be able to visit Side, Manavgat and Alanya. Ancient cities such as Phaselis, Olympos, Adrasan and Kekova can be reached by boat.
There are many beautiful places but Antalya is famous for its golden beaches. Cleopatra Beach and Incekum Beach are located west of the city and are 2 kilometers long. Cleopatra Beach is famous for the myth telling that Cleopatra bathed on this beach. Konyaalti is an incredible place with its turquoise sea, bars and clubs. Other places you have to visit are Patara, Kale (Demre), Adrasan, Finike, Phaselis, Tekirova and Ulas.
Historic sites attract many tourists every year. Olympos, which is located between Kemer and Adrasan, is a place with archaeological remains dating from the second century BC. The ancient city of Aspendos is known for its Roman Theater. Other ancient sites are Termesos, Perge, Phaselis, Arycanda, Demre, the Church of Saint-Nicolas, Simena, Kekova, Patara…

Antalya’s nightlife
Antalya’s nightlife is very active, especially during summer. Tourists and locals love to walk along the harbor where many clubs, bars, nightclubs and cafes are present.
There are places with live music such as rock, techno or hip-hop. Kaleici offers entertainment for everyone: English pubs, taverns with traditional music…
Nightclubs organize theme parties, dance performances and are open all the night. The nightlife is even more attractive during the International Golden Orange Film Festival. You will be able to choose between a quiet place with a pleasant drink or a crazy atmosphere in a huge open-air nightclub.
There are so many different places that it would take months to visit them all. Ally Club is the most popular and there is no better place to dance and have fun. However, you should be ready to wait if you want to enter the place during weekend because it is crowded.
The Inferno is a modern place for hipsters. If you arrive before midnight, the place may be almost empty but do not worry because the party starts at midnight. The music is excellent in this club.
Club 29 is the largest club of Antalya and can accommodate more than 2000 people. It also offers a beautiful view of the harbor. The club is also a restaurant and bar, so you will be able to start your evening by dining.
If you love rock, Jolly Joker Bar is a place for you.
Heaven on Earth
Regarding comfort, Antalya has many luxury hotels. Madran Palace, a 5 star hotel, offers apartments, restaurants and other amenities. Dedeman Hotel is a chain of hotels in several cities, including Antalya, and it is listed as one of the best hotels. Most hotels have a Turkish bath but you will find the best in Kervansaray Kundu.
